About the Role (Stock Controller – Kumi, Uganda)
M-KOPA is hiring a Stock Controller in Kumi, Uganda to manage inventory operations and support retail shop activities across its depot network.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate stock management, smooth device distribution, and excellent customer service at M-KOPA retail locations. You will work at the frontline of operations in Kumi, directly supporting customers and field agents.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management (Stock Control)
- Conduct daily stock counts using IMEI scanning systems
- Share stock reconciliation reports with audit teams
- Allocate stock to field agents (DSRs)
- Track and recover devices from field teams
- Receive and dispatch stock from central warehouses
- Ensure secure storage of all inventory
- Follow strict stock management procedures
Customer Service
- Assist customers with device upgrades at the shop
- Handle customer inquiries and log issues in system
- Escalate unresolved issues to relevant teams
- Follow customer service protocols
- Ensure early reporting time (before 8:00 AM daily)
Outlet / Shop Management
- Maintain clean, organized retail environment
- Ensure proper labeling of stock areas and lockers
- Keep signage visible, updated, and clean
- Support smooth daily shop operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in any field
- No prior experience required (entry-level role)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Customer service mindset
- Ability to follow procedures strictly
- Reliable, punctual, and disciplined
- Team collaboration skills
Work Environment
- Retail depot/shop environment in Kumi, Uganda
- Early morning operational schedule
