GiveDirectly is hiring a Field Officer in Kaliro District, Uganda to support the delivery of direct cash transfers to vulnerable communities.

Key Responsibilities
Census & Community Engagement
- Conduct village meetings (barazas) to explain the program
- Visit households and collect accurate census data
- Work with local leaders to map communities
Registration & Enrollment
- Support household registration using digital tools
- Ensure recipients can access mobile money transfers
- Identify and exclude ineligible households
Follow-Up & Support
- Conduct follow-up surveys with beneficiaries
- Handle hotline calls and resolve issues
- Identify and report risks (fraud, conflict, misinformation)
- Support problem resolution for mobile money registration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in field or humanitarian work
- Fluency in Lulamogi (required) and Lugwere
- Strong data collection and mobile tool experience (e.g., CommCare, Google tools)
- High integrity, empathy, and problem-solving ability
- Physically fit and able to work in rural field conditions
Work Conditions
