Job Purpose
To support the development, execution, and monitoring of UCC’s corporate strategy and business planning processes. The role ensures evidence-based decision-making through research, performance analysis, strategic alignment, and reporting to enhance organizational effectiveness and achievement of national communication sector objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Environmental Analysis
- Continuously assess internal and external organizational environments
- Analyze sector, industry, and operational performance trends
- Develop insights on key drivers, assumptions, and strategic risks
2. Strategy & Planning Coordination
- Support development of tactical and departmental plans
- Ensure alignment with corporate strategy, budget cycles, and reporting frameworks
- Promote integration of planning processes across the organization
3. Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Design and implement performance measurement frameworks
- Develop tools for monitoring strategic implementation
- Support forecasting, action planning, and results tracking
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare timely strategic and business planning reports
- Produce reports for both internal management and external stakeholders
5. Budget & Strategy Alignment Analysis
- Provide analytical reports linking budgets to strategic objectives
- Assess efficiency and effectiveness of operational plans
6. Technical Advisory Services
- Support business units in developing functional strategies
- Provide input into process reviews, programs, and project planning
7. National & Sector Strategy Support
- Contribute to development of sectoral and national strategies
- Ensure alignment with UCC strategic and operational frameworks
8. Other Duties
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor

Education & Professional Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in:

- Statistics
- Business Administration
- Policy Analysis
- Monitoring & Evaluation
- Or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in:

- Or related field
- Membership in a relevant professional body is an added advantage
Work Experience
- Minimum of four (4) years relevant experience
- Experience must be in a similar corporate or institutional setting
- Experience in the communications sector is an added advantage
