Job Overview
Watoto Child Care Ministries is seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker to support vulnerable and orphaned children through effective case management, psychosocial support, and family reintegration.
This role focuses on safeguarding children, promoting their well-being, and strengthening child protection systems within communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and support vulnerable children facing abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Conduct assessments and develop care, resettlement, and rehabilitation plans
- Facilitate family tracing and reintegration processes
- Provide psychosocial support through home and school visits
- Maintain accurate child records and case management reports
- Liaise with child protection stakeholders and partners
- Monitor child development, wellbeing, and protection needs
- Participate in Child Protection Committee (CPC) activities
- Support community engagement and referrals
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Administration, Social Sciences, Counselling, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with vulnerable children
- Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Office 365)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
