Social Worker – Watoto Child Care Ministries


    Job Overview

    Watoto Child Care Ministries is seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker to support vulnerable and orphaned children through effective case management, psychosocial support, and family reintegration.

    This role focuses on safeguarding children, promoting their well-being, and strengthening child protection systems within communities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and support vulnerable children facing abuse, neglect, or exploitation
    • Conduct assessments and develop care, resettlement, and rehabilitation plans
    • Facilitate family tracing and reintegration processes
    • Provide psychosocial support through home and school visits
    • Maintain accurate child records and case management reports
    • Liaise with child protection stakeholders and partners
    • Monitor child development, wellbeing, and protection needs
    • Participate in Child Protection Committee (CPC) activities
    • Support community engagement and referrals

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Administration, Social Sciences, Counselling, or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of experience working with vulnerable children
    • Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding frameworks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Office 365)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and within a team
